Dr. Berkun was born in Istanbul. He received his dental education at the Faculty of Dentistry, Baskent University. After completing his dental degree, he started his post-graduate academic studies on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Suleyman Demirel University. Dr. Berkun prepared his specialization thesis on the subject of ' Evaluation of the changes in gingival crevicular fluid after surgical assisted rapid palatal expantion'

   Presently, Dr. Berkun is member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Europen Association for Osseointegration (EAO), International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and Turkish Dental Association. Apart from his clinical works, he has taken places on many volunteer works such as LÖSEV, TEMA and Rotary International.

   Since his early career days, he has working multinational. Therefore, he has many patients across the world. Dr. Berkun is fulfilling his vision to bring the best in aesthetic dentistry to a global clientele.
